The GGEM Farming Model
Here's how the model works:Asset Discovery. We find viable ethical markets that offer fair prices and regular uptake of produce. We store and add value to various produce to create more market pathways while fostering good farming and consistent supply practices in Malawi.
Training. We use a group by group approach to determine what, why, when and how training should be conducted to to facilitate the understanding of best practice commercial farming and training and Agribusiness principals.
Revolving Fund. Farmers receive high-quality seeds, fertilizers, chemicals and equipment in order for them to be able to produce commercial farming standard and quality crops. Profits are fed back into their group VSLA for their own use and development.

Every step in our model enables the next area of our work with farmers to be more successful. GGEM Farming puts our farmers first by nuancing our engagement with every group so that we create joint solutions that they can sustain from generation to generation.
Our approach is practical. We provide all services together and we rely on the work of our Health and Education Sector partners to create a more holistic environment of mindset change for our farmers to thrive. We significantly increase their chances of creating wealth, opportunities and access within their communities while valuing and protecting all the things around them.
Agriculture is Malawi’s leading means for everyday people to survive. In order to serve the people by mitigating rural poverty and hunger through long term income generation. We use holistic collaboration and asset driven solutions to address the complex needs of farmers through our Mobile Agricultural Innovations Programs; provided by Farmers for Farmers allowing our Organization to remain financially sustainable.
We work through partnerships identifying beneficiaries that have an existing working relationship with other organizations within rural and Peri-urban communities. Offering a complete chain of services where becoming a GGEM Farmer means farming commercially and collectively to supply an ethical market and thriving!
